This Week’s Happenings in the Park Street District: Calendar, July 11-17
The Park Street Business District welcomes two new businesses: REDUX Studios & Gallery and Alameda See Spot Run. You are invited to attend their grand opening celebrations this month…
REDUX Studios & Gallery: “First Look,” July 14
St. Vincent de Paul’s Alameda Retail Store is transforming into REDUX Studios & Gallery, featuring artwork and merchandise made from reclaimed materials. REDUX Studios & Gallery (2315 Lincoln Ave) invites you to attend their “First Look” event on July 14. It will be a drop-in event running from 5:00-7:30pm.
The REDUX Studios came into existence as a means for St. Vincent de Paul’s to engage and support local artists. REDUX offers retail, gallery, and workspace for artists working with salvaged and reclaimed materials. The studios provide affordable workspace and access to resource materials, while the gallery and retail store offer opportunities for artists to show and sell their work.
REDUX helps to divert waste from the landfill and brings a new dimension to SVdP recycling and reuse activities; promoting waste reduction and awareness of reuse through retail activities and “hands on” education.
Current store hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 11:00am-6:30pm. Stop by and see what’s happening!
