This Week’s Happenings in the Park Street District: Calendar, August 8-15
Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor and James Dean are just a few of the Hollywood greats that will grace the silver screen at the Historic Alameda Theatre beginning August 17. The “Fall Classic Film Series” starts off with African Queen (8/17-18), Double Indemnity (8/24-25), Splendor in the Grass (8/31-9/1), and East of Eden (9/7-8). Movie-lovers can enjoy a total of 16 outstanding films on the big screen on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Show times vary by film and movie-goers can catch either a matinee or evening showing.
Regular walk-up price is $7.75 for Matinee/Seniors/Child and $10.50 for Adults. But movie-goers can save up to 40% off the regular price by purchasing a Classic Movie Pass, valid for any 8 of the 16 Classic Films. Price of the special pass is only $48 when purchased in advance. Bring a friend and mix & match from the series!
Don’t miss your chance to see some of the best films ever made presented as they were originally seen — in the style and grandeur of the restored 1932 Historic Alameda Theatre.

The Park Street Business Association would like to thank members of the Alameda Eagles #1076 for helping at this year’s Park Street Art & Wine Faire. We could not put on these events without the assistance of our great volunteers.
