Alameda’s 2013 Park Street Art & Wine Faire Offers Summer Fun

2013 Art & Wine Faire PosterEnjoy the summer sun at one of Alameda’s biggest and best events of the year! The 29th Annual Park Street Art & Wine Faire is a hometown tradition in the San Francisco East Bay area. Located on the island city of Alameda, weekend activities feature over 300 arts, crafts, and food vendors; local wines and regional beers; live music on two stages; and a special kids’ area. This year’s street festival will be held the weekend of July 27 and July 28. Hours run from 10:00am to 6:00pm both days.

Voted “Best Event in Alameda” by Alameda Magazine readers each year, there is sure to be something for the entire family. Festival-goers can also stroll along Alameda’s vibrant and historic commercial district where unique shops and restaurants will be offering specials throughout the weekend.

The Park Street Art & Wine Faire is fun for everyone! 

Park Street Art & Wine Faire, AlamedaArts & Crafts Stroll among the 250 arts and craft booths located between Encinal and Buena Vista avenues. Vendors will be offering items ranging from ceramics and metal art to paintings, photography, wood crafts, toys, handbags, clothing, jewelry, and more.

Food at Park Street Art & wine Faire, AlamedaFestival Food & Drink Satisfy your taste buds with a festive selection of street favorites such as Lockeford Sausage, corndogs, gyros, roasted corn, fried calamari, funnel cakes, and more! Plus, there will be multiple beverage booths serving beer, mimosas, and a wonderful selection of local Rock Wall wines.

Live Entertainment Music at Park Street Art & Wine Faire, AlamedaEach day offers continuous live entertainment on two stages. Bay Area favorites will perform a wide range of music such as classic rock, bluegrass, funk, jazz, and soul. The line-up features Zebop! Tribute to SantanaFleetwood MaskPetty TheftAja Vu, and the return of the popular Beatles cover band The Sun Kings. (view music schedule)

Waterballs at Park Street Art & Wine Faire, AlamedaKids’ Area A special area for kids and their families on Alameda Avenue features bounce houses, a giant slide, slot cars, face painting, a petting zoo, and the newest attraction… Waterballerz. In addition, amusement rides will be set up near the corner of Park Street and Lincoln Avenue.

Ride Your Bike to the Festival Free, secure bike parking will be provided at the corner of Park Street and Webb Avenue near Alameda Bicycle. There couldn’t be a better way to experience the festival than after a pleasant ride along the charming streets of Alameda.

Shop Park Street! The Park Street Business District is “historic, hip, and worth the trip.” Nearly 500 businesses are located in the Alameda’s downtown commercial district and feature a unique variety of fabulous food and drink establishments, charming shops, and professional services.
