Shops and restaurants in the Park Street Business District invite families to join in on a special Downtown Easter Egg Hunt. Grab a basket (and the kids) and come out to enjoy the search for prizes and treats on Saturday, April 19, 2014 from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
The hunt begins on the sidewalks…
Bring the kids and search for colorful “Bunny Banners” posted in the windows of participating businesses. Find a Bunny Banner and that’s your clue there is a special treat waiting for you inside.
With nearly 20 local businesses participating, kids will have an opportunity to gather a basket full of treats.
For a fun holiday photo opportunity, plan to make a special stop outside Daisy’s (1347 Park Street) where kids can meet the Easter Bunny in person.
Clues to get you started on this fun family activity…
Look for the “egg-stra” special windows of these participating businesses:
Urgent Care Center of Alameda, 2421 Encinal Ave
Professor Ha Tutoring Center, 1416 Oak Street
Artistic Home Studio & Boutique
Park Street Antiques
The Clothes Line
Tucker’s Super Creamed Ice Cream
We Are Hair
More businesses will be added on the day of the event. So look for the trail of “egg-stra” special signs displayed in the business windows throughout Alameda’s Historic Park Street District and enjoy the search!

Bead Inspirations is doing a 4-day Bead Hunt from April 16 to April 19. Find beads that match certain descriptions, write down the bead numbers, present it to the staff, and receive a special gift!
In addition, Bead Inspirations is hiding Easter eggs throughout their shop. Inside each egg is a number with the discount percent that customers will get off purchases during those four days — receive anywhere from 10% to 30% off (although some restrictions apply). There are also eggs with sweet treats inside! There’s something for everyone so, if you are on Park Street, it’s definitely worth a stop starting on Wednesday!
