Introducing the Downtown Alameda Business Association

Downtown Alameda Business Association logoHave you noticed that our posts have been including the words “Downtown Alameda” quite a bit? Well, the Park Street Business Association is officially changing its name. The new name is… Downtown Alameda Business Association.

Alameda’s downtown association is comprised of over 425 businesses located on Park Street and surrounding areas. Member businesses are not only located along Park Street (from San Jose Avenue to the Park Street Bridge), but you’ll also find businesses on each of the side streets from Oak Street to Broadway.

“The new name is more indicative of what our association is about. Together, we are not just Park Street — we are the entire Downtown Alameda district,” says Robb Ratto, Executive Director of the Downtown Alameda Business Association (“DABA” for short).

Along with the new name, there is a new logo and a new website. Both have a more modern and fun appearance, just like our vibrant downtown district. Plus, the new online business directory offers more options for finding the perfect eatery, gift shop, or professional service.
