Brando, Burton, Bogart and Bacall… the “stars” are shining on the silver screen at the Alameda Theatre & Cineplex with the Spring 2016 Classic Movie Series. Movie lovers can enjoy a number of outstanding films showing on the big screen in Downtown Alameda’s historic Alameda Theatre on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Showtimes vary from week to week, and movie-goers can catch either a matinee or evening show.
Discount ticket packets of 8 Classic Movie tickets are available for only $44 at the Theatre Box Office. These ticket packets are valid for any of the Alameda Theatre & Cineplex’s classic film presentations, now or in years to come — bring a friend, give a gift, or hold on to any of these discount tickets for any classic movie. Free Live Simulcast of the Academy Awards
On Sunday, February 28, the Alameda Theatre & Cineplex will roll out the red carpet for the LIVE simulcast of the 88th Academy Awards in the new “Dinner Theatre” auditorium. Doors open at 2:00pm with the awards presentation at 4:00pm. Free admission tickets are available on a first come, first served basis.
As part of the festivities, Alameda Cinema Grill is offering a limited number of tickets to the exclusive VIP Red Carpet Dinner Theatre which includes a red carpet photo opportunity. Upon entry guests can purchase a delicious meal from the Cinema Grill menu which will then be delivered to their theatre seat during the awards presentation. No-host bars will offer beer, wine, champagne, and “Oscar Cocktails” throughout the evening.
In addition, don’t miss the “After Party” hosted next door at Cinema Grill. Mingle the night away in true Hollywood style. “Movie Star” attire is encouraged, of course.
